Originally from the San Francisco and Monterey Bay Areas, Jay has been making art his whole life.  His day job is that of a live theatre props and costume crafts artisan, designer, manager and teacher, as well as a set designer and scenic artist.  He first learned about wax-resist egg art in Berkeley, CA and really embraced it during the pandemic and now afterwards.  He also restarted doing lino block prints recently.  Growing up, some family holiday cards were made from lino blocks.
